I feel like I’m ignoring this site dreadfully, but the truth is, every day I log on and prepare to write a post about all the things going on, both personally and in terms of my writing career, but nothing is quite ready for public consumption yet. There’s a lot going on behind the scenes, and I can’t wait to talk about it soon, but not just yet.
So today you get cat photos. Why not? I grabbed these just a few minutes ago as the perfect example of how different my cats are.
Loki, you see, wants to lounge. Though a bengal like his sister, he is in many ways a typical cat. He likes to sleep, eat, and find the warmest spot in any room and steal all the heat. I currently live in an old building (really old–it used to be a brothel during the Gold Rush), and it has one gas stove to heat the entire apartment. Though it’s turned off at the moment, a fair bit of heat continues to escape through the vent on top to heat the room–or it would, if Loki weren’t greedily claiming it all for himself.
And here is Ava. You may not think there’s anything unusual to see here–after all, it’s just a cat in a basket. Look closer. See that annoyed look on her face? That’s because I’m trying to take a picture, rather than give her what she really wants… which is a ride in the basket. One of her favorite things in the world is to be picked up and not just carried all about the house, but to be carried while swooping and diving and spinning, and generally creating a feline version of an amusement park ride.
The daredevil and the sloth. That, in a nutshell, is my cats.

Yep. Good. Can anyone really go wrong with cat photos? Nope.
